Found Terms of Use

Last updated October 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of Found and its sister app Settle, both operated by Attention Labs, so one set of terms governs both. The two apps are sold separately: a subscription to one does not include the other. By using the app you accept these terms.

1. What the app does

Found searches published state unclaimed-property files for records matching the names you give it, re-checks those names as states publish new files, and links you to the state's own claim site.

Both are discovery tools: they help you find something, then hand you to the official site.

2. What the app does not do

3. Accuracy

Records and settlements are reproduced from public sources as published. A name match is a probability, not proof that money is yours, and an estimated payout is an estimate made before anyone has filed: the final amount depends on how many people claim and, for a settlement, on whether a court approves it. We make no promise that you will receive anything.

Deadlines shown are the ones printed on the official notice. If a notice changes after we read it, our copy may be out of date until the next crawl. Always confirm on the official site before relying on a date.

4. Subscription

A subscription unlocks the amounts, the official claim links and the eligibility detail, and it covers both apps with a single purchase. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel them in the App Store, under your Apple account's subscriptions. Deleting your account here does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them directly.

5. Your account

You may use either app without creating a credentialed account. If you use Sign in with Apple, you are responsible for the security of your Apple account. Do not use the apps to impersonate anyone, or to search for records belonging to a person whose information you are not entitled to use.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, resell or redistribute the contents of the apps in bulk, do not interfere with the service, and do not use it to break the law. We may suspend an account that does.

7. Liability

The apps are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for a claim you did not file in time, or for a decision made by a state or an administrator. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date above shows the last change, and continued use after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the apps at any time and delete your account from inside either one.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
